The need

The group was preparing to go live on SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition. Several requirements raised with its implementation partner could not be met and had become go-live blockers.

What we did

Assessed the feasibility of each blocking requirement in the public-cloud model
Ran an on-site workshop with the client's senior team and its implementation partner
Recommended workarounds for each gap and guided the partner through implementing them

The result

The recommendations were implemented and the group went live successfully. We were then brought in to support its S/4HANA finance requirements, and now run the full AMS.

The need

Education group, 100+ schools (SAP Cloud ERP, public cloud): started with finance support, built extensions to simplify operations, now full L2/L3 AMS from offshore

The need

The company ran a stable S/4HANA system on an older release that was leaving mainstream maintenance, and structural changes in the business needed new processes.

What we did

Upgraded to SAP S/4HANA on-premise 2023 using a shell conversion
Remediated custom ABAP code and discontinued the HCM component
Ran workshops with business users and configured improvements in finance, costing, production, sales and procurement that formed part of the upgrade business case
Carried out cutover and go-live on the new release

The result

Live on S/4HANA 2023 without any significant issue, with the improvements the business case promised. We now provide AMS, including RICEF developments, process changes and automation.

Implemented SAP S/4HANA on-premise in 4.5 months, followed by one month of support
Brought procurement (MM), production and quality (PP/QM), sales (SD), accounting (FI/CO) and maintenance (PM) onto one system
Integrated e-invoicing and e-delivery with the national portal through a third-party solution
Delivered complex scenarios: actual costing, multi-currency reporting, bills of exchange and BoM secrecy
Implemented SAP Analytics Cloud with KPIs and dashboards for senior management

The result

One standard process and data model from procurement to accounting, live in 4.5 months. On completion, we were awarded the offshore SAP AMS contract.

The need

The company wanted to automate supplier invoice processing as part of its strategic improvement programme, targeting around 50,000 invoices a year that arrive as PDF email attachments.

What we did

Built the solution on SAP Build Process Automation on the SAP Business AI Platform
Extracted the fields needed for invoice entry from PDF attachments using an AI extraction service
Used the confidence score to decide the path: above 97%, a parked invoice is created in SAP automatically
Below 97%, a workflow routes the invoice to a user to check and correct the values before it is parked in SAP

The result

A working human-in-the-loop AI process, successfully demonstrated and now being scaled to more than 20 identified vendors. A practical first step towards autonomous finance.
